Endomycorrhizae are the most common type of mycorrhizal association in nature. Soil pH is one of the important factors in choosing the best mycorrhizal species for the planting site.

Endomycorrhizae

Cherry tree roots of Saint Lucia (PRUNUS Mahaleb) endomycorrhizal: microscopic observation magnification 200 times. The presence of arbuscules and vesicles characteristic of endomycorrhizal colonization by glomus is observed.

Cherry Roots of Saint Lucia (PRUNUS Mahaleb) endomycorrhizal

Arbuscular endomycorrhizae such as Glomus intraradices, which we have selected in our laboratory, are adapted to many plants mainly leafy trees and shrubs:

  • Maple (Acer)
  • Walnut (Juglans)
  • Cherry tree with flowers (Prunus)
  • Dogwood (Cornus)
  • Ash (Fraxinus)
  • ...

The principle of this association is simple: the microscopic fungus penetrates the cells of the roots of the host plant and multiplies, giving (arbuscules or vesicles) the organs of resistance of the fungus.

This fungus grows, also outside in the form of filaments. These filaments having a double role they constitute first of all the exchange surface with the ground and they will give birth to spores (organs of reproduction of the mushroom). These multiplying in the soil will form the basis of a new inoculum that can colonize both herbaceous species and ornamental species, or trees.

The HIGH PERFORMANCE® endomycorrhizal plants will allow a very fast development of the revegetation process. The presence of this mushroom in the heart of the roots favors the development of plants by multiplying the possibilities of exchange with the outside by making the nutrients of the soil more accessible to the plant. It also promotes the absorption of water by the plant.

A natural biological stimulant

The mushroom in the roots is not stressed during planting. This mushroom is a natural biological stimulant, it limits the contribution of complementary fertilizer.

Mycorrhizal plants are more robust and less susceptible to pathogens. HIGH PERFORMANCE® endomycorrhizal plants help improve recovery rates and juvenile growth on sites under difficult conditions, and on non-forest soil such as:

  • Careers,
  • Land embankments,
  • Road or motorway access
  • Railway lines
  • Farming lands
  • Brownfields ...

Subject: AZF Toulouse site.

"Indeed, what we can say on this subject is that the Robin Nursery has supplied the high-performance controlled mycorrhizal hardwood plants with a view to re-vegetating the former Toulouse industrial site. Our planting conditions are difficult and mycorrhizal plants have been a very positive solution for soils without organic matter.  For example, on the "bw5" plot, take-back  rates were greater than 95% . In addition, Robin ANTI-CHIGNON® box delivery facilitates on-site handling and storage. Overall, we are  very satisfied with the services provided by the ROBIN Nursery.  "
